DESIGN CONCEPT
AOT CNX Parking Locate in Chiangmai international airport where face problem with insufficient parking space, contrasting with growing numbers of travelers. Planning to solve this problem in the long term, The Airport of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) requires the new parking building which not only to solve the present problem but to works efficiently with the future development. The building including more than 1,000 parking spaces with smart parking system, assisting drivers and users by using technology that can operate and supervise remotely. Since the building is long and narrow paralleled to the airport, it can be seen as the city gate, the idea is to make the building as human-friendly as possible. At first proposal, we aimed at treating building façade gaining natural light and ventilation combining with mechanical system , while keeps the façade variation to lessen the building visual impact. The final one was adjusted due to local authority request for security reason.
