DESIGN CONCEPT

ASA Asset Our client loosely give us draft requirements about this project to be office space for rent, but not as “standard” office space. What is the heart of the project would be common spaces that each office can socialize, hanging out or having party. The basic need for office would be around 1000 square meters so that can fit with small to medium size business to rent. With client’s requirement in mind combining with our first impression on first visiting, we proposed somewhat date back to the old day of building in tropical weather, traditional Thai house. By looking at condition of the site, orientation and existing, common rules were applied: lifted building, open court and good ventilation. Aiming to be “active” energy saving building, we think of possibilities to use practical down-to-earth technique to design this one since we have believe that everything that will be built here should be fixed or replace easily by anyone, not technician nor expert.
