Co-Working Space : Institute of Molecular Bioscience

The owner expect this project to work as the new entrance for the existing building, the co-working space to attract new people to the institute and connecting with the existing building seamlessly.

The condition of this project is the site itself sit on the main underground MEP system for the university with some existing trees. And also the location is treated as the back of the existing buidlings blocks along the road, it was not planned to serves as any entrance but service access.
Bearing conditions and requirements in mind, our idea is to create the new image for the institute by treating the new building as the new device that stimulate curiosity and freindly at the same time.

The whole buidling lifted up making way for more visual impact, while using perforated metal as building skin to serve as the "transparent sunscreen" protecting building from heat and but yet well ventilated.

The exsiting trees are kept to combining with open court creating friendly internal court for working environment.
